My daughter, I love that at this point in time there feels like an unlimited number of possibilities for who you are and who you’ll become. Even after who you will be becomes who you were, you always are a figure of seemingly infinite shapes and complexities. This makes the process of self discovery thrilling and terrifying. Some days you will feel like you know every angle, every curve, every plane of yourself. Other days you will feel like you have broken part of that crystalline structure, never to be repaired. It’s true, too, that that figure will change, often never to return to the one you knew before. But, I will never call you broken, and I hope you don’t either. The Light always shines through us, even despite ourselves sometimes. It works its way through the infinite angles of our crystalline structure, bringing light to new corners of ourselves and reflecting outward in new directions from the places we call “broken.” So listen, my daughter, learn to love the infinitely complex you, and surround yourself with people who do, too. Know that you ARE always a beauty to behold. Hold yourself up to the Light everyday; especially on the days you feel “broken.”
